Practices in Long Term Care Job Postings

Certificate Announcement

Establishing a Contract Practice in Long Term Care Settings
The number of older adults residing in nursing homes and other long term care settings is rising, quickly, and is projected to grow faster than any other cohort group in U.S. history. With this demographic shift comes a unique opening for more skilled, dedicated professionals. Based on experience with tens of thousands of nursing home patients, CoHealth recognizes the value of coordinated, comprehensive care. Now, an intensive, online certificate is available to mental health professionals who want to expand their practices in this new and rewarding direction.

A four-part series of classes has been developed at Concept Healthcare to give mental health professionals the essential information, protocols, and marketing assistance necessary to establish an independent practice in nursing homes. This is a complete, turnkey package teaching how to contract for services, build caseloads, and bill for your services independently.

FEATURES:
  • All training is conducted online, so students can conveniently participate from home or office, with a phone and basic computer with an internet connection.
  • The weekly, 2.5 hour classes cover four, broad themes: aging and mental health; working in a collaborative, nursing home environment; clinical issues; and understanding Medicare, billing, and reimbursement. CE credit is available for psychologists, clinical social workers, and post-graduates working toward licensure.
  • Class size is limited to ten students to encourage participation and interaction.
  • Included with the training are a syllabus for each class (with sample contracts, documentation templates, screening tools, etc.), audio recordings of the seminars, staff inservice modules, follow-up conference calls, and 1:1 consultation with our Clinical Advisory Board on such topics as behavior medicine, rehabilitation, Medicare policy, psychopharmacology, and clinical management.
  • For added value, marketing assistance is part of the package: following the training, prospective work sites are contacted on our graduates' behalf, attesting to the Provider's clinical, administrative, and interdisciplinary credentials, and the assurance of CoHealth's recognition and ongoing support.
  • The classes will be scheduled as needed - please see below for the next series dates.
  • An “Individual Membership” on the CoHealth website gives a 25% discount off all courses — So, sign-up now and receive this discount off your course tuition.

One goal of this training is to help practitioners develop a quality, informed, and independent practice in nursing homes and other LTC settings. A second goal is to offer an opportunity for ongoing dialogue, networking, and peer consultation among those trained by or working with CoHealth.
