Concept HealthcareSM is a training and education company devoted to integrating behavioral health insights, approaches, and principles in the overall health care of individuals, especially older adults. The mission of the company is to raise the awareness on the part of caregivers, both professional and laypersons, about the importance and benefit of collaborating with behavioral health specialists, and to incorporate these behavioral health principles in all aspects of caregiving. Our belief is that the concept of CoHealthSM, the collaborative delivery of medical and psychological services to older adults, has a favorable impact on the individual's response to, recovery from, or management of his or her physical condition. The company is committed to the CoHealth model, and strives to incorporate this model in all of our education and training.
Concept HealthcareSM seeks to accomplish its goals principally through web-based interactive training and education, professional newsletters, and through live teleseminars. The company's mission is accomplished by:
Recognizing the role that emotional, behavioral, and attitudinal factors play in older adults' adjusting to changes in functioning, and managing and recovering from medical conditions. This is done through training, education, and resource sharing for our clients;
Where emotions, behavior, and attitude interfere with response to treatment and future outlook, we endeavor to increase the effectiveness of providers' caregiving skills and consumers' self-care skills by offering tools, insights, and approaches to overcome these barriers;
Providing guidance and direction on facing the aging process as successfully and as distress-free as possible;
Contracting with health care settings, public and private health care agencies, and third-party payers to develop training and education programs, products, and service offerings for older adults;
Delivering these consultative services principally through electronic media (i.e., internet) allowing the greatest reach to the diverse, target audiences with a single, core group of experts.
Although the company will be offering education and training to a variety of caregivers, neither the company, nor its professional staff, will provide clinical services or medical or psychological advice to its clients. Instead, Concept Healthcare'sSM commitment to the CoHealthSM model results in a "help the helpers" approach, and offers caregiving solutions in a professional, cost-effective, and easily accessed manner.
