In this course, family members of Alzheimer's patients will better understand the reasons for the communication problems that come with Alzheimer's Disease. Then, in an informative way, family members will be taught how to improve communication with your loved one by better reading the emotional signals that patients send, and deciphering what different behaviors mean, what the behaviors may be communicating, and how and why they may be quite different from what the family is used to seeing. With these insights, families facing Alzheimer's Disease will be better at looking beneath the mask of the disease, and will learn how to view and appreciate some of the features of this person, who is still very much alive beneath the disease.
