1. Do I have to be online the entire time to take a course?

You do not need to complete a course while online.  Though you can take the entire course online, you can also  download the course and save it on your computer for later viewing, or print it out and use the hard copy.

2. How do I register?
To register for a live web conference, clicking the "Register" button takes you to the secure registration page, which asks for necessary contact and billing information.  After filling in this information, your method of payment will be verified, and upon approval, you will be given the login information and pass code for that course.  To purchase an online course or other product, you will need to establish an account and login number.  Click on the "My Account" button in the upper right corner of the home page.

3. Do I get a receipt/confirmation for my purchase?
After registering, you will immediately receive confirmation for the course showing the receipt of payment, along with the login details to access the course.  If you purchase products like a CD by phone with our office, a receipt of the transaction will be mailed or emailed.

4. How do I know that my credit card information is secure?
We take precautions to protect your information.  When you submit sensitive information via  the website, your information is protected both online and offline.  Whenever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us  in a secure way.  You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

5. What should I do if I forget or lose my password?
Your login name is your email address.  If you forget your password, our system will email you instructions automatically to replace your password.  You do not need to call us.

6. Will I be tested?
If you are taking this course for CE credit, some licenses require an assessment of the learned content, especially for home study courses.  All CoHealth text-based formats have questions interspersed throughout the courses, every few screens or so.  Complete the test items.  Your responses will be scored, and recorded for that course.  If you are not taking the course for CE credit, completing the test items is optional.

7. Will I get a certificate? How do I get it?
A Certificate of Completion will be sent via email upon completing the course (whether online or at a later date) and receiving a passing score of 75% on the quiz.  This Certificate will contain all of the necessary course details for licensure renewal by your CE accrediting agency.

8. Are my CE's reported to my state licensing board and/or professional organization?
At least one accrediting agency (NAB) requires that verification of course completion is sent to your licensing entity.  If required to do so by your CE accrediting agency, Concept Healthcare will send verification of completed coursework to your state licensing board.

9. How long do I have access to a course?
Once purchased, courses must be accessed within 72 hours.  They may also be downloaded and saved to your computer for use at any later date.

10. How do you customize a course?
Courses may be customized for end users.  For example, if a health care agency  would like a series of presentations on a specific topic for its employees, this can easily be accommodated.

11. What are the membership benefits?
Annual memberships are offered to individuals and institutions/groups, featuring a 25% discount off all priced products.  The institutional  membership covers all employees of that facility or organization.

12. If I am unhappy with a course, what is your refund policy?
Our guarantee is that you will be completely satisfied with our professional offerings, including the live web conferences, online courses, and audio recordings.  We will do whatever is necessary to meet your expectations on every interaction, and on products purchased.  If you are dissatisfied with a purchase, the full price will be refunded to you.  And, we promise to resolve any disagreement within 24 hours.   All registration fees for a live web conference will be refunded if received more than 24 hours before the course start time.  If a cancellation is received within 24 hours of the event, the registration fee will not be refunded but applied toward any future web conferences.  No refund or credit will be given if a cancellation is not received before the event.

13. What makes Concept Healthcare's training better than other training?
Our courses are developed specifically for caregivers, based on surveys of training needs, formal and informal requests from staff developers, and what we have learned from conversations with the scores of older adults and their family members over the years.   Our training programs - live and online - strive to incorporate and emphasize behavioral approaches and sensitivity in all care activities.  Regardless of whether we are talking about simple tasks like helping with ADL's or helping to manage the crippling effects of a chronic disease or a terminal condition, we have adopted the CoHealth approach that stresses working together and caring together to improve health or, when necessary, to ease the transition from health to debility.  The CoHealth model seeks to occupy a small space in the broader discussion of care for and sensitivity to the whole person.

14. How is your content developed?
The content on our website and in our live conferences is developed by our Board of Professional Advisors, all of whom are subject matter experts in their respective fields.  The content originates from the developers' materials and resources that have accumulated from prior other writings, presentations, and teaching.  None of the courses have been appropriated from outside sources, unless clearly indicated in the title and course description.

15. How many computers are we going to need to train our employees?
Our programs are very versatile, and can be accessed in several ways:
  • Live web conference - Use a computer with internet access and a screen that can be viewed by the trainees (for the slideshow presentation) and a speaker phone for the audio portion and for the 2-way Q&A and discussion
  • Live teleconference - Use a good quality speaker phone, audible to trainees,  for the audio presentation and for the 2-way Q&A and discussion
  • Course completed online -  Use a computer and live internet connection so the trainee can view the text version of the course, and complete the course online
  • Course downloaded - Use a computer with internet access to download the course and save it on a computer's hard drive. When saved this way, the course can be viewed and completed at any time, by anyone with access to the computer
  • Course for audio "on demand" - pre-recorded courses are accessed with a computer and internet connection, and downloaded to an MP3 player, like an Apple IPOD
  • Course on CD - courses are available on Compact Disk (CD), purchased from the Concept Healthcare office.  Once you have the CD, you may listen at any time on any CD player (e.g., home player, car, or portable)
16. What if I am new to using a computer? How will I know what to do?
There is a simple beauty to the  technology utilized with our courses.  No computer experience is required, since basic instructions are provided on the website, whether you desire to read the material on the screen using a live internet connection, or you want to save it in text or audio format and review it later on. For those without a computer, all course materials are available on CD, so  you just need to put the CD in any player and listen.  If you are interested in group training, call our customer service line and we will walk you through the details.  The group format will work for audiences as large as 8 to 10; larger group sizes make it more difficult for participation, and to maintain good audio quality for all listeners.
